Set to be complete this summer, this follows the full revitalization of The Pfister’s ballrooms, meeting and event spaces, and historic guest rooms.

After completing a full revitalization of its ballrooms and meeting and event spaces in late 2023, The Pfister Hotel, a historic AAA Four Diamond hotel owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, has entered the second phase of its extensive $20 million renovation. Set to be complete in early summer, the hotel has begun a total update of its historic guest rooms where countless presidents, performers, authors and hall of famers have stayed since the hotel opened in 1893. Following the completion of those rooms, subsequent phases will include a refresh of the lobby and first floor public spaces, and renovation of the very popular Pfister Café.

The Pfister Hotel, a historic AAA Four Diamond hotel owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, today announced that it is undergoing an extensive, state-of-the-art, multi-phase renovation to further elevate its renowned exceptional guest experience. The renovation, which began in June and is expected to cost approximately $20 million, will feature a full revitalization of the ballrooms and meeting spaces, followed by all-new guest rooms in its historic tower, and conclude with enhancements to the hotel’s iconic lobby, lobby bar, and Café at the Pfister. All phases of this renovation are expected to be completed by spring 2024, with the newly renovated Imperial Ballroom hosting its first wedding this past weekend.

The AAA Four Diamond Pfister Hotel, owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, today announced Christopher T Wood as its 13th artist-in-residence. Wood, a Milwaukee-based pataphysical illustrator, will work in The Pfister Hotel’s lobby-level Artist Studio for one year beginning April 1, 2022. He will succeed current Pfister artist-in-residence and conceptual abstraction artist, Nykoli Koslow.
